Alanine and Arginine
Alanine- it was concluded in The Journal of Clinical Investigation: alanine does stimulate the secretion of glucagon, while having very little stimulatory effect on insulin secretion.
Alanine is considered a nonessential amino acid and is involved in many metabolic pathways including protein synthesis, and energy and nitrogen metabolism.
